Hey, I'm supposed to be an independent, self-publishing fiction writer through my Samizdat Publications and yet selling my first published books had became difficult despite the good story quality and affordability of these. I think that I'll be returning soon to that search for a publishing company like I did in the past and so I must lay down my "pride" for my other unpublished manuscripts. I hope that I'll find a just and humane publisher who is open-minded to give chance to aspiring fiction writers like me, support Philippine literature and renewed interest in reading books, and without the attitude of treating the publishing industry as just some business gamble.

The January 25 Field Trip

Lakbay-aral naming mga taga-Villamor Air Base Elementary School. Dati-rati, ako ang estudyante... at sa Field trip na ito, ako na ang napaliligiran ng mga estudyante, hehe! First itinerary ay sa Gardenia Factory sa Biñan, Laguna. Dedicated employees, honest company, quality products. Next ang Go Nuts Donuts. Kung ang Dunkin at Mister Donut ay ang McDonald and Jollibee, ang Go Nuts naman ang Max's or Kenny Rogers. Hehe, mahal pero ibang klase raw ang linamnam.

Next itinerary ay ang Manila Ocean Park- dream come true. Pambihira nga ang kagandahan ng marine biodiversity ng bansa. Paalala ng mga nagdaang panahon kung kailan hindi pa mapanira ang mga tao sa kapaligiran. Sana, makapamasyal uli ako doon. Ngunit bakit may nasagap yata akong hypocrisy sa ilang namasyal doon? Hangang-hanga sila sa nakita nila sa mga naglalakihang aquarium pero paglabas nila ng MOP, nagkakalat naman sila ng basura sa kung saan-saan! Hay, mga tao...

It's Not All About The Mush...

Nagsusulat ako ng mga kwentong mayroong romantic contents... ngunit ako mismo ay walang pakialam sa pagkakaroon ng romantic involvement. Wala akong pakialam sa mga magkasintahan sa paligid. Wala akong pakialam sa mga nauulinigang cheesy but schmaltzy, sentimental but mawkish 'lambing exchanges' and stupid pickup lines. Wala akong pakialam kung pagtawanan man ako at pagtsismisan ng ibang tao kung bakit ganito ako (upakan ko pa sila, eh!). Wala akong pakialam sa secular and commercialized side ng okasyon ngayon dahil higit kong pinahahalagahan ang religious origins nito, ano?
