Goodness, ako lang nga siguro ang excited sa pagtuloy ng project as if you anonymous readers care after all... joke lang. Well, para sa blog post ngayong Agosto, ilalaan ko ang aking soliloquy sa ibang mga paksa. Merong bagong blog page na napabilang sa side menu dito na ang pamagat ay "Lush, Fresh, and Green". Pakitingnan na lang, hehe!
Ano ba yang mga naglipanang techy gadgets na yan? Ano ba ang pinagkaiba ng smartphone sa cellphone o ng Ipad sa tablet? Isang beses lang nga akong nakahawak ng laptop at yun ay dalawang taon na ang nakalipas kasi ang isa naming professor sa Philippine Normal University-Manila ay pinapa-type sa laptop niya ang ilang data namin sa ginawa niyang Yahoo groups (mabait po siyang teacher; hindi yung isang mayabang at bugnutin diyan na nagtuturo ng PE na may mga naka-displey pang strange pictures sa kanyang office at malamang grabe ang kilig sa tuwing nakatunghay sa “My Husband’s Lover”; di ba, Sir LoVer?). Mwehehehehe! Ranting... well, it’s all in the past na; sana tunay na masaya lagi ang magaling na PE propesor. Ay, oo nga pala. Ano ba yung mga pinagsasabi ko dito? Ah, yung gadgets... wala akong panahon sa mga luho na yun. Ang pagkakaroon ng PC sa bahay ay sapat na and I don’t need a laptop or an ipad; yung usong games and apps tulad ng candy whatever, what are those anyway?. Hindi ako pala-cellphone noon pa man pero kailangan ko ang alarm clock nito... my ten-year-old Nokia 3510 na hindi pa kailanman nakaranas na madala sa cellphone repair shop kasi almost pristine condition pa katulad na katulad noong una itong binili isang dekada na ang lumipas at birthday gift ng nanay ko sa akin. Hindi ko ito ipagpapalit kahit sa latest mobile phone model pa at ito ang aking ka-weirduhan kaya anong paki niyo?! Basta, aanhin ko ba ang mga luhong gadgets na yan? Ang trip mo, trip mo at wala na akong pakialam; ang trip ko ay trip ko at mas lalong wala kang pakialam.

Anyways, bukod sa pagkain, ‘guilt shopping’ na rin na maituturing bagamat tipid na rin tipid ako dito, ang pagbili ng audio CDs na original, ha! Sana doon sa music stores, kapag luma na ang CD, bagsak-presyo na nila. Guns ‘n’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction, anyone? 99-peso remixes ng isang past album ni Justin Timberlake, bargain! Greatest hits ng “Creed” (jackpot sa SM store kasi 150 pesos na lang at may kasama pang DVD ng music videos nila), “Bon Jovi” (great collection, too), at “Monuments and Melodies” ng iconic alternative band na “Incubus”. Speaking of Incubus, kakatakot naman ang portrait ng lead singer na si Brandon Boyd sa CD cover; drinowing ko at ito ay mas ‘greener’ kahit na hindi naman ako expert sketch artist. Art materials: black ballpen, decades-old pencils and crayons, and recycled paper once used as a wrapper for a native powdered sticky rice cake called espasol. Ang papel na may drowing ay nasa ibabaw ng mga dahon nitong isang ornamental plant na kauri ng mga kamoteng-kahoy at hindi po jumbo-sized ‘weed’ leaves! Anong akala niyo, ha?

Almighty Father, we raise our hearts to You in gratitude for the wonders of creation of which we are part, for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs, and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe.
We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of creation.
We have not been good stewards of Nature.
We have confused Your command to subdue the Earth. The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoing, and now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference. Global warming is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption, and other natural calamities occur in increasing number and intensity.
We turn to You, our loving Father, and we beg forgiveness for our sins.
We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard-earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made.
We beseech You to inspire us all to grow into responsible stewards of Your creation, and generous neighbors to those in need. Amen.
This we ask in the name of Your only Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. Beloved Mother Mary, pray for us. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us. St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, pray for us. Amen.
