Hey, I'm supposed to be an independent, self-publishing fiction writer through my Samizdat Publications and yet selling my first published books had became difficult despite the good story quality and affordability of these. I think that I'll be returning soon to that search for a publishing company like I did in the past and so I must lay down my "pride" for my other unpublished manuscripts. I hope that I'll find a just and humane publisher who is open-minded to give chance to aspiring fiction writers like me, support Philippine literature and renewed interest in reading books, and without the attitude of treating the publishing industry as just some business gamble.

SOLILOQUY According to Webster’s Dictionary, soliloquy (so-lil-o-kwi) n. /plural soliloquies/ is the act of speaking one’s thoughts aloud in solitude; a speech in a play through which a character reveals his/ her thoughts to the audience, but not to any of the other characters, by voicing them aloud , usually in solitude. (derived from Latin soliloquium “to speak alone”). Grolier International Dictionary defines soliloquy as a literary or dramatic form of discourse in which a character talks to himself/ herself or reveals his/her thoughts in the form of a monologue without addressing a listener; the act of speaking to oneself in or as in solitude.

The Earth in the Constellation of Aries the Ram in the Zodiac Celestial Path Without Ophiuchus

A narra tree's verdant foliage rustling in the dance of the breeze
And a shower of the multitude of golden blooms gently descended

Para bang noong nakaraang taon lang ay kabado ako sa para sa board exam namin, o! Ang bilis ng mga araw ngunit isinasantabi ko na lang ang tunay kong gulang. Basta, hehe!Okey lang kahit walang celebrations... higit ko pa ngang ipinagdiriwang ang Pasko at Pasko ng Muling Pagkabuhay, ano?

Nagpapatuloy na nga ang tag-init. Inoobserbahan ko kasi ang posisyon ng mga konstelasyon sa langit. On early evenings, ilan sa mga northern constellations na naging prominente noong malamig ang panahon tulad ng Auriga, Canis Major & Minor, Orion, at Gemini ay palubog na sa kanluran. Matataas naman ang pwesto ng Bootes, Big Dipper, Virgo, Corvus, atbp lalo na ang pinaka-spectacular summer night sky sight na Scorpius (beside Ophiuchus) na lumilitaw sa timog-silangang dako. Kahit na sa urban environment kung saan hindi na sariwa ang hangin ay nagpapatuloy pa rin ang tanglaw ng mga bituin kasama ng mga planeta. Kaya ko rin palaging pinagmamasdan ang mga iyon bukod sa nagdudulot ng katiwasayan sa kalooban ay nalalaman ko kung upgraded pa ba ang grado ng aking salamin. Ipinagawa pa ito sa Perez Optical sa Carriedo doon sa Quiapo at 1,400 pesos din ito, ano? (walang problema kasi tinipid ko naman ang sahod ko sa pagiging 3rd member sa Barangay Elections ng nagdaang taon)
Kailangang nadi-differentiate ang liwanag ng mga bituin sa kanilang magnitude. 0 ang pinakamataas o pinakamaliwanag tulad ng Sirius (Canis Major), Canopus (Carina of Argo), o Capella (Auriga). First magnitude naman ang pumapangalawa at halimbawa nito ay ang orange-red Antares of Scorpius. Ang polestar na Polaris na hindi umaalis sa pwesto nito sa hilaga ay second magnitude naman kaya mahalaga rin na napagmamasdan ko pa ang tanglaw nito. Aba, mula pa noong unang panahon ay napakahalaga nito hindi lang sa mga astronomo, marino, at mga naglalakbay sa gabi kundi sa bawat nako-curious kung nasaan ang direksyon ng hilaga; at saka dito rin ipinangalan ang yearbook namin sa AIMS. Nakapanlulula nga ang light-years o distansya ng mga bituing iyon ngunit lalo kong napagtatanto na ang planeta nating ito, ang Mundo na nilikha ng Panginoong Diyos, ang ang ating 'mother spaceship' sa kahiwagahan ng kalawakan. Do I sound geeky everytime I come out with these astronomical statements? Nais ko lamang pagmasdan ang mga bituin sa panahong ito ng Aries, ang Tupa sa kalangitan. :)
